The metered power distribution unit is designed with an inbuilt circuit board that has a digital display. The display unit is programmed to display voltage, current, and power. It acts an intermediate between intelligent PDU and normal PDU and avoids MCB tripping and overloading by allowing the end-user to enter the load on the power distribution unit.
The intelligent power distribution unit increases the energy efficiency, improves uptime and find cut off power capacity. Along with the power management system, the intelligent PDU has the capacity to monitor the energy consumption and report the environmental condition. It is programmed to provide centralized monitoring, provide email notification, analysis of cost, OS shutdown, and monitor rack temperature.
